This diverse and welcoming primary school in Camden are to hire a committed and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant with Autism experience to join their staff for next term. This role is at a mainstream primary school located in Borough of Camden and they are looking to secure a strong, qualified, SEN Teaching Assistant with Autism experience to work in an inclusive classroom with children who have Autism, sensory needs, and are verbal and nonverbal. Knowledge of Makaton and PECS is desirable.
Responsibilities
- This school requires a Teaching Assistant who is comfortable with technology, online management systems, and has strong interpersonal, communication, and administrative skills.
- It is important for this school that the Teaching Assistant recruited is able to liaise with parents and provide feedback on student achievements and progress.
- The ideal Teaching Assistant for this position will be someone who is enthusiastic, passionate, and willing to get involved in the community of this school.
- This school needs a Teaching Assistant who is excited to motivate and engage students, and who thrives on the challenge of working in a demanding, yet rewarding environment.
Qualifications/Experience
- You must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, to be eligible for this role.
- To be eligible for this position you will also need proven classroom experience or training.
