We are supporting a well-established SEN school in recruiting a Sports Coach. The role involves supporting students with SEMH needs, delivering engaging physical education sessions while helping them manage social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
Responsibilities
- The Sports Coach Special Needs Autism recruited for this role will be expected to collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and ensure student continuously challenge themselves to improve.
- The Sports Coach Special Needs Autism appointed to this position will need to establish and maintain the standards of pupil behavior required to create an orderly and productive environment.
- Strong understanding of mental health challenges in children and adolescents.
- Experience in implementing strategies to support emotional well-being.
Qualifications/Experience
- You must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, as well as a PGCE or equivalent Teaching qualification, to be eligible for this role.
- Additionally, you will need to have, or be eligible for, British QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent to be considered for this job.
- To be eligible for this position you will also need proven classroom experience or training.
