We are working with a fantastic school who have been using us to support their recruitment efforts for many years to find an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant with Autism, experience to join their team. This role is at a SEN School located in the Borough of Southwark and they are looking to secure a strong, qualified SEN Teaching Assistant to work in an inclusive classroom with children who have Autism, verbal and non-verbal with sensory needs. Knowledge of PECS and Makaton is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant Special Needs Autism for this position will be someone who is enthusiastic, passionate, and willing to get involved in the community of this school.
- Familiarity with conditions such as autism, ADHD, and physical disabilities.
- Experience in collaborating with parents, carers, and support staff.
- The SEN Teaching Assistant Special Needs Autism appointed to this position will need to establish and maintain the standards of pupil behaviour required to create an orderly and productive environment.
Qualifications/Experience
- You must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, to be eligible for this role.
- To be eligible for this position you will also need proven classroom experience or training.
