LSA – Learning Support Assistant Special Needs PMLD

Join Us as a Learning Support Assistant (LSA).
We are currently representing a school who are looking to hire a committed and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant with PMLD experience to join their staff for next term. This role is at a SEN school located in Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham and they are looking to secure a strong, qualified, SEN Teaching Assistant with PMLD experience to work in an inclusive classroom with children who have PMLD, sensory needs, require personal care, are non verbal and also participate in Hydrotherapy swimming. Knowledge of Makaton and PECS is desirable.
Responsibilities
- The LSA – Learning Support Assistant Special Needs PMLD hired for this role must maintain high quality of teaching to ensure pupils are given the best chance to achieve targets.
- Patience and empathy in addressing complex learning challenges.
- Capacity to work collaboratively with families and therapists.
- The ideal candidate for this LSA – Learning Support Assistant Special Needs PMLD role needs to be highly confident and able to support students from all different backgrounds.
Qualifications/Experience
- You must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent to be eligible for this role.
- To be considered for this position you will also need proven classroom experience or training.
