We represent a Special educational needs primary school who have identified a key need for a Special Needs Teaching Assistant who can contribute to the teaching and learning of the young people in their community. In this role you’ll be working with a mixture of special educational needs and doing a mixed role, both 1:1 and classroom support. Experience working with autism is essential for this role.
Responsibilities
- This school requires a Special Needs Teaching Assistant who is comfortable with technology, online management systems, and has strong interpersonal, communication, and administrative skills.
- The ideal Special Needs Teaching Assistant for this position will be someone who is enthusiastic, passionate, and willing to get involved in the community of this school.
- It is important for this school that the Special Needs Teaching Assistant recruited is able to liaise with parents and provide feedback on student achievements and progress.
- The expectations for this role is a Special Needs Teaching Assistant who is confident in the key competencies of their subject area, and has a broad knowledge base and understanding of the curriculum requirements to guide student learning.
Qualifications/Experience
- You must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent to be eligible for this role.
- To be considered for this position you will also need proven classroom experience or training.
