We are looking for an SEN Teacher for Key Stage 1 to support children with PMLD, ASD, sensory needs, and non-verbal communication. You will be responsible for providing individual support and delivering engaging lessons, ensuring that each child’s unique needs are met in a compassionate and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities
- This school needs a SEN Teacher Special Needs SpLD who is excited to motivate and engage students, and who thrives on the challenge of working in a demanding, yet rewarding environment.
- The successful SEN Teacher Special Needs SpLD will plan creative lessons with excellent subject knowledge, undertake marking, and will participate in parents’ evenings.
- Patience in supporting students with literacy or numeracy challenges.
- Collaboration with educational psychologists and SENCOs.
Qualifications/Experience
- You must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, as well as a PGCE or equivalent Teaching qualification, to be eligible for this role.
- Additionally, you will need to have, or be eligible for, British QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent to be considered for this job.
- To be eligible for this position you will also need proven classroom experience or training.
