We are working with a fantastic school who have been using us to support their recruitment efforts for many years to find an enthusiastic Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join their team.
Responsibilities
- It is important for this school that the Special Needs Teaching Assistant recruited is able to liaise with parents and provide feedback on student achievements and progress.
- There will be an expectation for the successful Special Needs Teaching Assistant to create a safe and supportive learning environment with routines and structures that align with the school's core values.
- It is important to this school that the Special Needs Teaching Assistant they hire is able to analyse assessment data and use it to inform lesson planning and structure.
- The ideal candidate for this Special Needs Teaching Assistant role needs to be highly confident and able to support students from al different backgrounds.
Qualifications/Experience
- You must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent to be eligible for this role.
- To be considered for this position you will also need proven classroom experience or training.
School
- Empowering students with complex needs to develop skills and confidence for employment, volunteering, and training.
- Fostering independence and inclusion in society through communication, self-help, and social skills development.
- Providing comprehensive support, including speech therapy, occupational therapy, and work experience coordination.
- Tailoring the curriculum to meet diverse needs, including subjects like social communication and Lego therapy, alongside national curriculum subjects.
